Since WCG designed the OjO Scooter, it was only fitting for us to develop the brand identity as well. The logo was developed to convey the simple ergonomic “J” design of the OjO Commuter Scooter and executed to emulate chrome. The color was chosen to communicate the technology and advanced engineering that OjO symbolizes.

The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor came to us in 2011 wanting to rebrand their athletic programs and student life. We developed a primary logo and multiple secondary logos. We then created a style guide to show proper usage of all the marks. Some are shown in the slider above.

State Brewing Company is a production brewery who brews a variety of high quality craft beers inspired by L.A. history, culture and community. We were tasked with creating an identity for them in 2014. Included in the slider above is the logo, business cards, tap handles, apparel, van graphics, and a growler bottle. These are just some of the items we developed for them.

Houston Astros

The headline from USA Today on July 18, 1995 read “Astro’s Sales Skyrocket After Switch.” That switch was the launch of the new logo for the Houston Astros in 1994. The remake of the logo was in the works as soon as owner Drayton McLane, Jr. took over the club in November 1992.

In 1994, the Astros unveiled the “moving star” logo and uniforms developed by Image Communication. (This was our name prior to Woodward Creative Group.) After the rebrand, Astros merchandise moved from the bottom of the league in sales to near the top 10 of MLB franchises.

A jersey and cap is also shown in the slider above.

Short Stack

This logo was designed for 11 year old entrepreneur, inventor and pancake connoisseur Richie Stachowski. In 1996, we were working with Richie’s mother, an entrepreneur herself who lived in Moraga, CA. At her request, we created the Short Stack logo for her son to use in marketing his invention, Water Talkies™. They were a summer sensation in 1997, and in 1998 they were joined by two new inventions. Richie’s Scuba Scope™ allowed snorkelers to see underwater and above water at the same time and his Bumper Jumper Water Pumper™ was a sit-down float whose paddle doubled as a water gun. This was a fun one!
